Dallas – July 14, 2010 -There are more than 650 volunteer ministers at The Potter’s House. Neither of the parties involved in the trial was ordained by this ministry. Mr. Tumbwe was a transfer minister from another institution.
Upon learning of the allegations, The Potter’s House launched its own internal investigation and is cooperating fully with the District Attorney’s office.
None of the purported actions occurred on our campus or in the execution of church duties. The alleged actions reflect the personal choices made outside our scope of influence.
The alleged actions by Mr. Tumbwe do not reflect the values or principles of The Potter’s House. We are deeply saddened by this course of events. Our prayers are with all of those adversely affected.
