Finding Balance in life

Feeling Off Balance

As a Christian, we often encounter exhaustion while managing work schedules, household responsibilities, and parenting roles. And not to mention devoting time to meditate with God to express gratitude and acknowledge our deepest needs and desires. It can become a challenge to fulfill our worldly duties while sacrificing our time to convene in a relationship with God. Nevertheless, we become guilty of not giving God his equal share of time. It is easy to become distracted when you are moving full speed overseeing multiple responsibilities.

Tips to Promote Balance

Maintaining balance is essential to healthy living and fulfilling your life goals. Even in the midst of our busy life, there are things we can do on our behalf. It is easy to feel defeated but, it does not mean you are not equipped to juggle several tasks. It just means you may need to implement a better plan that is comfortable for you as you seek balance. Here are a few tips to peruse in your daily living.

  • Always pray. We have to diligently seek God to ask for guidance over our personal affairs and any other concerns that causes worry.
  • Ask God to help prioritize your pursuits.
  • Only commit to what you can do. Sometimes the word “no” may be the answer.

Balance in the Bible

Nothing is too trivial. If you find that you lack time management skills, you can ask God to show you a better way. There is nothing that God cannot fix when we include Him in our pursuit of accomplishments. In the Bible, Matthew 6:33-34 states, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” We are reassured of God’s power in Philippians 4:13 as it says, “I can all do all things thru Christ which strengthened me.” We have to remain steadfast in our walk with God because he gives us what we need to cope. In Proverbs 11:1, it says, “A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.” God wants us to experience his wholeness and put him first. Thus, we must have a well-balanced life to fulfill His desires.

Balancing Family and Ministry

The desire to balance family and ministry is a continuous deed. Family and ministry are both important as they actually go hand-in-hand. God is the head of all families and church; we can never go without surrendering to meet His need. Praying as a family and ministering to others is God’s prescription to experiencing spiritual growth. We also have the advantage of ministering to God’s Word thru e-sermons that has become popular among many churches. The notion is to spread the gospel everywhere in order to change lives.
