Job Duties

General Summary

The Television Videographer/Editor loves to tell compelling stories. Will lead in all field recordings of internal/external events, and edit short and long-form videos for live, streaming, and recorded events as directed.

 

Essential Responsibilities

Videographer in recording all field events individually or in collaboration with other team members

Transcode and Ingest all recorded content according to Digital Asset Management best practices

Set up and break down of television and lighting equipment

Ensure all video and audio content recorded meets department standards

Encodes and outputs videos for online platforms internal and external requests

Bi-weekly television production gear assessment

Bi-weekly television production inventory check

Inform Engineering immediately if any Television Production equipment is inoperable

Researches and acquires video elements such as stock footage, graphics, photos, voice-overs, music, and sound fx to edit short and long form videos as assigned

Color correct videos as needed

In Studio Camera Operator as needed

Stay informed, dedicated and committed to industry trends and best practices for the television industry in field recording and editing

Watch weekly Sunday and WNBS services to stay familiar on organization matters

Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-change environment while meeting all project deadlines

Adhere to best practices provided by Television department on organization of content server and equipment

Additional duties as needed and as delegated

 

Qualifications

To fulfill this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility

College degree in Television Production preferred, but not required

Experience in field and studio production

Knowledge of current Adobe Creative Suite

Strong knowledge of DSLR & HD cameras, Drone cameras, Gimbo cameras, lighting and audio equipment, and related accessories

Must be able to lift 75 lbs

Must be able to climb a ladder

Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License

Ability to commute to office

 

Required Skills Include

Familiar with Apple and PC systems

Must work well independently and with a team

Must be timely, organized and exceptionally detailed

 

Schedule

Monday through Friday | 10 am to 6 pm

One-hour lunch

Some weekends and travel required | Schedule may change based on project

Must check company issued cell phone/email and project management system on a consistent basis
