Senior PR Manager
Overview: Looking for a creative and talented senior public relations manager interested in working on a global humanitarian brand with presence in publishing, entertainment, global philanthropy, other meaningful business ventures. This person should have a strong desire to work on a collaborative team internally and across important organizational verticals. Familiar with a variety of communication field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Leads and directs the work of others. This individual will work closely with senior department members and senior clients across full scope of brand in an intimate and fast-paced environment.
Senior PR Manager must be strategic, expected to deliver high impact results, write exceptionally well, understand crises response models, and be effective interacting with members of the media.
Expected to help implement and execute communications campaigns related to various clients within the organization.
Core skills desired from our new Senior PR Manger:
- Conducts research and packages background for special assignments
- Works closely with internal and external stakeholders and ensures smooth working relationships
- Identifies new resources and provide insights into industry or consumer trends
- Experience in working large-scale events, red carpets, etc.
- Innovative, creative and resourceful and able to take the necessary steps to make things happen
- Strong administrative skills in tracking activities, budgets and facilitating reports
- Able to proofread and communicate effectively
- Maintains confidentiality at all times
- Strong media relations capabilities and ability to build and maintain key relationships
- Knowledge of latest tools of the trade, technologies and other communications resources
- Professional presence, ability to articulate your case in a group setting, present new ideas
- Proactive, deadline oriented and proficient at time and task management
- Experience with digital and social media platforms
- Basic understanding of analytics and data-driven PR tactics, secondary/primary research
- Works efficiently and effectively with others and as an individual contributor
- Ability to juggle multiple projects while tracking the forward progress on all assignments
- Detailed oriented, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment, performs under pressure
- Learning oriented, desires professional growth, able to apply feedback with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of local and national outlets (print, online, broadcast, etc.)
Requirements
- Contributes to a positive culture and an inclusive team environment
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably no less than seven years of experience.
- Agency experience is a plus.
