Job Duties
The Sous Chef responsibilities include various kitchen duties following the Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Preparation and design of all food and drink menus following the Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines
- Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise while keeping work/prep area clean
- Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way meeting our quality standards
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Assist the Executive Chef in training kitchen staff
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately while ensuring the storeroom, refrigerator and freezers remains organized
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Any additional duties assigned by the Executive Chef
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
- Work on a number of projects simultaneously
- Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree in culinary science or relevant field
- Current Food Handlers Certification or willing to obtain
- At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work effectively with all levels of employees.
- Work with speed and accuracy.
- Handle multiple job tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to operate a variety of physical skills including but not limited to typing, sitting, walking, crouching, bending, lifting and kneeling.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift (could work more hours depending on scheduled special events)
- 5 days a week (Sunday Required)
