Job Duties
The Senior Power BI Developer resource will work under minimal supervision to analyze, design, build, Test and deploy the reports and dashboards as required by the stakeholders. The BI resource shall work closely both with the business users, digital and traditional marketing brand teams. The person shall also work very closely with the DBA and other IT team members to meet the company’s internal standards and guidelines regarding Data Analysis
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Design and develop reporting solutions in Microsoft Power BI based on business requirements.
- Will assist in managing the interpretation, analytics reporting, and analysis for key insights & performance recommendations.
- Works closely with stakeholder teams to drive requirements to completion.
- Works closely with Power BI report users to tune and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Evaluates business requirements and processes to provide possible solutions and accurate estimates for development efforts. Assist with building Data Analytics enterprise models using Microsoft technologies
- Migrate existing reports to Power BI Report Server.
- Writing data collection and processing procedures.
- Ensuring that data is being correctly gathered, stored, and analyzed.
- Reporting data findings to management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have 7+ years of Power BI development skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of technology environment, SQL, MSSQL, Microsoft Apps
- Expert knowledge of Power BI and Business objects platform.
- experience in estimation techniques for reports build, analysis, design, test and deploy activities for reports/ dashboards.
- Good knowledge of various data model concepts and performance tuning of queries.
- Ability to use collaborative skills to work with data managers, database administrators, system administrators, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to concisely and effectively communicate across teams.
- Strong analytic skills with experience creating large data sets, spreadsheets and doing independent analysis
- Previous experience organizing and managing multiple projects and/or tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and intranet/internet
