Job Duties
Responsibilities include cost-effective procurement of the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost. Implementation of purchasing policies and management of inventory levels. Agent will need to keep abreast of changes affecting both the supply and demand for products and materials for which they are responsible.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for ordering product
- Maintaining inventory control with an eye toward standardization across the country
- Place orders to vendors upon approved document received through ReQLogic system and create into a purchase order once goods are received
- Advise and instruct managers on purchasing decisions, strategies, and requirements
- Assist Accounts Payable in reconciliation of vendor invoices with purchase orders.
- Maintain proper records of purchases, rates of sale, and ability to adjust levels of inventory purchased to rate of sale and seasonal buys.
- Negotiate with vendor pricing, availability and delivery of merchandise.
- Present three quotes/bids on goods and services to requestor for decision making.
- Research and locate new vendors when necessary upon Executive approval
- Work in a fast-paced environment, fulfill emergency request, multitask and meet important deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate Degree from an accredited Community College in Business or any related field of study
- At Least 5 of experience in the field of Purchasing and Accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in the leading, development and assessment of the area of Administration.
- Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum and program development and evaluation.
- Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including but not limited to seeing, walking, typing, sittings, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver’s license in the state of Texas.
- Ability to move and /or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to travel overnight on a limited as needed basis.
- Ability to work weekends, and evenings when necessary.
- Ability to understand instructions and execute them.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
