Public Relations Manager
Overview: Looking for a junior to mid-level creative and talented public relations manager interested in working on a global humanitarian brand with presence in publishing, entertainment, global philanthropy, other meaningful business ventures. This person should have a strong desire to work on a collaborative team internally and across important organizational verticals. We’re seeking an individual who appreciates organization and can help implement organizational and reporting skills across internal communication vehicles. This individual will work closely with senior department members and senior clients across full scope of brand in an intimate and fast-paced environment. The PR Manager must be highly organized, write well, enjoy research, and be effective interacting with varying levels of media contacts.
Expected to help implement and execute communications campaigns related to various clients within the organization. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

- Experience in working and supporting large-scale events, red carpets, etc.

- Maintains confidentiality at all times
- Innovative, creative and resourceful and able to take the necessary steps to make things happen
- Ability to multi-task and self-start is a must.
- Drafts alerts, press releases, briefing documents, scripts, presentations, activity reports and other materials
- Helps manage a monthly internal newsletter organization
- Measures impact of various campaigns and provides metrics via Cision. Maintains relationship with Cision and other department vendors
- Cultivates new and existing local media relationships
- Supports ongoing event promotion and national outreach efforts
- Conducts research to formulate story ideas and pitches in collaboration with the Directors
- Packages background information and data for special assignments
- Fields and evaluates incoming media requests, recommends or declines opportunities
- Supports interdepartmental relationships and handles unexpected project requests
- Works closely with internal and external stakeholders; ensures smooth working relationships
- Identifies new resources and provide insights into industry or consumer trends
- Researches and compiles clip reports, and other presentation materials upon request
- Contributes to the overall coordination of projects and campaigns
- Provides supplemental team support as needed
Requirements
- Collaborative, inclusive, team-oriented, flexible. Contributes to a positive culture and an inclusive team environment
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably no less than four years of experience.
- Experience with PR agency, advertising or marketing communications firm or in-house PR department is a plus
