Job Duties
We are seeking a motivated Partnership Development Specialist to join our dynamic Partnership & Business Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering strong partnerships with our current sponsors and donors, identifying new opportunities, and developing strong relationships with potential partners, including sponsors, donors, and vendors. The Partnership Development Specialist works closely with the Chief Partnership & Engagement Officer (CPEO). Success in this role offers the chance to positively impact communities and the lives of individuals and families worldwide. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team to identify and seize business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and implement effective sponsorship strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Build and foster a network of relationships through strategic brand outreach to create new opportunities and drive revenue.
- Develop a strategic plan for outreach and methodologies for relationship development, new partnerships, and business development opportunities through lead generation and weekly reporting.
- Submit monthly and annual progress reports on all sponsorships executed and leads generated.
- Research on what key brands are currently doing with an audit of creative partnership endeavors and understanding of budgets and planning cycles.
- Support all sponsorship activations from conception to execution and recap
- Work closely with the CPEO to develop and implement a strategy for attaining revenue and sponsorship goals.
- Manage all contracted sponsors prior to, during, and following all conferences and events, including on-site sponsor management.
- Manage for the timely delivery of all sponsor credentials and assets, and creation and delivery of post-event recaps to each sponsor.
- Collaborate with the CPEO to ensure all aspects of the sponsorship agreements are fulfilled fully and accurately.
- Research, prospect and establish sponsorship leads through industry networking, community and business functions, and other methods.
- Develop custom proposals and presentations that creatively and distinctly differentiate and communicate unique assets of the targeted prospects.
- Support the CPEO with partnership and business development objectives, financial processing, and activation efforts to ensure relationship is meeting partnership objectives and ROI.
- Manage fulfillment of digital/traditional marketing deliverables including managing the delivering of assets from the internal departments. Work directly with outside vendors and internal departments to ensure proper execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Communications, and any related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of sponsorship sales experience or similar position generating brand revenue at a high level.
- 3-5 years of partnership prospecting and funding research with a nonprofit organization, for-profit organization, or foundation experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Consistent record in sponsorship with a strong focus on developing corporate partnerships.
- Must possess a significant number of established relationships in the corporate industry.
- Experience at developing activation presentations, and proposals.
- Ability to pivot quickly and manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Master-level developer in presentation development and presentation software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including creative approaches to external grant and funding proposals.
- Ability to present verbal, written, and interpersonal communications effectively.
- Ability to develop and maintain enterprise relations.
- Ability to prioritize work, multitask, set priorities, create schedules and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrable proposal writing and budgeting competencies with evidence of successful awards.
