Job Duties
The Multi-Media Designer works with the Digital Content Manager and the Production Manager to oversee and develop creative graphic design for the Lead Pastor and church-wide departments served by the Creative Team (all disciplines – print, web, video, etc.).
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Produces high-quality graphic design, that meets the approval of the Lead Pastor and church-wide departments.
- Possesses a creative and imaginative aptitude and awareness of current trends in the visual arts and understands project lead times, deadlines and production capabilities, all of which impact the end result of communicating the Gospel in a clear, concise and creative way.
- Assists in the design and production of special event design pieces, including but not limited to, New Years, Easter, Pastor Appreciation and Christmas
- Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office or similar programs. 2+ years
- Creates visual elements for weekly services, including but not limited to screen graphics, motion graphics, special video graphics, name supers, etc.
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Content Manager and the Production Manager to understand project goals, messaging, and target audience, ensuring alignment with our church’s brand, mission and values.
- Edit weekly sermon recap videos for Pastor Winfield and The Potter’s House Fort Worth.
- Edit weekly service clips to sermon only and ensure audio quality is good for social media uploads.
- Edit video announcements with the integration of engaging motion graphics to effectively communicate upcoming events, and other important Potter’s House Fort Worth information to our congregation.
- Edit podcast videos, transforming audio content into visually engaging videos that enhance the listener’s experience and expand our reach.
- Edit event footage for promotional purposes, crafting videos that highlight the energy and essence of our special gatherings and activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of professional video production experience
- Must have availability to work on Sundays, holidays, and evenings as needed work hours for special events and related deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrate the ability to monitor and manage several assignments concurrently, including collaborating with Creative Team staff and church-wide departments in the execution of video editing and graphic design projects as assigned.
- Comfortable with and thrives while working under tight deadlines and pressure, maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary and cross-departmental teams to develop concepts, storyboards, creative approaches, etc.
- Demonstrates an aptitude for learning new computer software programs.
- Demonstrates the ability and willingness to help guide, as requested, the work students, volunteers, and interns to create concepts, comps, layouts, and final art.
- Must be a strong team player and take direction well.
- Demonstrates decision making and problem-solving abilities without immediate and constant supervision.
- Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and possess the ability to handle frequent interruptions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers and the general public.
- Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and office equipment, as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Prefer the applicant have experience using the following programs/computers: Microsoft Word and Excel; PC and Mac.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.
