Job Duties
The Marketing Specialist provides marketing strategy and marketing support to T.D. Jakes Ministries and The Potter’s House brand. The Marketing Specialist will manage every aspect of assigned marketing projects and track the status of projects and deliverables.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Project Management
- Brand Development
- Market Research
- Data Analysis Reporting
- Content Development & Planning
- Execute and analyze assigned marketing projects and brand development initiatives
- Proofread and edit creative collateral and assets
- Participate in the creative brainstorming process for all project and conference planning
- Manage each project’s content, planning, scheduling, and tracking and report status and support for assigned ministries, departments and conferences
- Provide key insight, direction, and support for brand development initiatives to leverage success of assigned brands/ministries including content development plans, marketing and brand business strategy, goal/result measures, project timelines, email marketing, market research, data analysis, and reporting
- Assess and evaluate all marketing prerequisites, requirements, and essential tools to effectively develop a strategy from the ideation phase to project completion
- Meet consistently with assigned ministries/departments as needed for project implementation, consultation, and completion
- Working knowledge of project management systems to assist with project tracking and managing team project processes, status, workflow, and deadlines
- Provide weekly updates and status reports on assigned projects and brand development initiatives to CMO and/or Brand Manager
- Participate in team, inter-departmental and corporate meetings as directed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- At least 5 years of Marketing Experience, including traditional and digital media marketing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge with creative development, graphic production processes, social media, and digital creative
- Previous traditional marketing, digital marketing, and/or advertising experience
- Ability to support communications by identifying, sourcing, and collecting valuable content for a variety of media, including digital content, social media, public relations, and other internal and external modes of communication
- Ability to conduct internal interviews and write summaries, captions or descriptions to capture marketing and brand content as necessary
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including creative approaches to internal and external marketing and communication platforms
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time, including word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and other various programs
- Ability to work extended hours on occasion, including some weekends and evenings
- Ability to prioritize work, multitask, set priorities, create schedules, and meet deadlines
