JOB SUMMARY:
Various kitchen duties following the Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Carrying out basic cleaning tasks
• Collecting, washing and sanitizing dished (pot, pans, cutting boards, etc.)
• Cleaning crockery & cutlery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and ready
• Unloading equipment and food from deliveries
• Ensuring the storeroom remains organized
• Supporting kitchen staff by taking on food prep tasks as well as any tasks assigned by the Executive Chef
DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters including correspondence, reports, and other documents.
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):
• Current Food Handlers Certification or willing to obtain
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.
• Ability to work with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple job tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to operate a variety of physical skills including but not limited to typing, sitting, walking, crouching, bending, lifting and kneeling.
• Experience working in a food service environment is required.
