Position Summary
Jakes Divinity School seeks a Creative Marketing Coordinator. This role will be responsible for creating goals and objectives in order to approach prospective and current students through appropriate marketing channels and help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as advertising, optimization, content development, researching target audiences, recording data from marketing campaign results, overseeing social media channels and website to ensure brand uniformity, and event planning. This position reports to the President/Dean.
Essential Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, or digital campaigns, and events
- Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. digital, marketing, TV/production, product and sales) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives
- Determine needed resources and prioritize projects in relation to other marketing projects
- Facilitate communication regarding project status with appropriate stakeholders
- Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of marketing campaigns
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities for academic programs and events
- Coordinate the development and strategic direction of the creation of marketing materials for print and digital and video assets for all areas of the school including academics, enrollment, advancement, etc. as Projects may include but are not limited to logos, flyers, social media graphics, presentations, promo and recap videos, programs, advertisements, email blasts, publications, signage, and products
- Ensure all designs adhere to overall school brand standards and best practices while delivering innovative and quality work that meets the preferences and needs of internal and external audiences
- Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different medium s
- Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs such as Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Scope Theory, and Ironistic
- Deliver creative ideas that will help promote the brand and support marketing campaigns
- Photograph and/or film on behalf of the school as assigned
- Contribute to the school’s digital asset management system and assist in the archiving, tagging, and organization of digital files
- Monitor official JDS social accounts and respond to users on behalf of JDS as assigned
- Help maintain the JDS Experience Calendar including submitting monthly content to the JDS website and providing a monthly digital asset to the current students
- Assist with informing potential students – over the phone, in person, and/or via email – regarding the JDS program designs and enrollment process for select educational programs as needed
- Other duties as assigned and required
Job Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, graphic design, communications, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in marketing
- Advanced use of graphic design tools such as Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop and website editing tools strongly preferred
- Knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems (e.g. SharpSpring, Salesforce), and content management systems preferred
- Proficiency with social media platforms and best practices
- Basic photography and videography skills preferred
- High achiever, who produces results individually, as well as collaboratively as part of a results-focused team
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong aptitude for data analysis
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Skilled in writing and editing content with attention to detail
- Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends, as necessary)
- Ability to travel as necessary
