Job Duties

The Director of Academic Affairs (DAA) is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and development of instructional policies, programs, personnel, and virtual and in-person student learning experiences with supervision from the President and in partnership with the Jakes Divinity School academic partners. This position is responsible for creating and sustaining an environment of academic and professional excellence for students and faculty and a collaborative working environment with academic partners and educational team members. Other responsibilities include serving on teams to facilitate learning management systems and student information systems, keeping student records, reviewing transcripts, keeping track of students’ graduation eligibility, and planning commencement activities.
