The Data Entry Specialist effectively and efficiently follows the directives of the Data Entry Supervisor and Team Lead to process confidential ministry data, in an accurate and productive manner. This is a detail-oriented job that requires time management and attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Maintains database by entering new and updated customer account information
Prepares data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information
Processes customer account documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard operating procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
Enters customer account data by inputting information on keyboard or importing format
Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
Verifies entered customer account data by reviewing, correcting, or reentering data; merging files to eliminate duplication of data
Tests customer account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data; reviewing output
Secures information at all times using standard operating procedures
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Ensures entry of information in a timely manner
Maintains accurate data and getting appropriate results to various department
May be required to work Saturdays due to increased work load from events such as Conference and local events, as needed.
Data Entry background (3 years)
Proficient in Word and Excel
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to understand the importance of balancing data
Data entry skills
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Experience with Cash Management, Financial Procedures, and Financial Principles
Experience with effectively presenting information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
