Destiney has performed and taught for more than 25 years. She has a minor in Dance performance from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and studied at the University of Oklahoma for a time. She also studied and performed for many years with C. Michael Tidwell and the Tidwell Project in Little Rock, Arkansas. Currently, Destiney is the owner and director of Grace Dance Project, a ministry based performing dance troupe in the DFW area. She is also a member of The Potters House Dance Ministry, under the direction of Mickye Castillo, where she has served for over 15 years. She also serves as the technical director for the Potters House Dance Ministry. In her time there, she has been able to use her gift to serve by teaching technique classes, choreographing for productions as well as special pieces. Destiney has also been an instructor for the Alive dance conference since its inception. Through these conferences, she has had an opportunity share her love and passion for Christ through the art of dance with thousands of fellow dancers.  In 2007, Destiney created Steps of Grace, an organization that cultivates and provides technical training for ministry groups. Through Steps of Grace, Destiney provided workshops for teams that were geared toward showing dance ministries how to use technique to bring their ministry pieces to life. When she is not dancing with the dance ministry, Destiney works at the Family DREAM Center in Mansfield Texas where she teaches classes on Saturday mornings. She also sponsors a dance club at her school for students who may not have the means or access to study dance at a traditional dance studio. The group has performed for the student body as well as district events. Destiney has a passion for teaching and igniting the passion of dance in others. She resides in Mansfield, TX with Jared Peters, her husband of 14 years and her 2 sons Joshua and Andrew.
