There are three points in these Scriptures that I want to share with you to help you understand even more about God.
I. Recognize You Are in His Presence Two disciples were walking along, talking about what was going on in their generation. They were so engulfed in the problems of their day that they didn't recognize that Jesus was with them. Have you noticed that people who spend their time talking about what's going on around them begin to feel weighed down and lose their joy? That's what happened to the two disciples in this text. They, like we do sometimes, became so blinded by sad news that they didn't know they were in the presence of the Lord.
Clay Academy: From Blueprint to Reality

This quote by Bishop Jakes is not only in reference to the church and its ministries, but also to Clay Academy. The vision for Clay Academy was clear to Bishop Jakes. Being the son of an educator, Mrs. Odith P. Jakes, and knowing the importance of education, he nursed dreams of a school where students would receive instruction in academics and arts as well as spiritual growth. His dreams were publicly shared in 1998 when the initial plans for a development offering homes, parks, a community center, and of course, Clay Academy were revealed to city officials.
Let It Flow... to Africa
