MegaCare is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community development corporation.
Mission Statement
To influence the next generation by supporting and initiating sustainable community empowerment efforts through education,
health care assistance, humanitarian service and economic development.
Our Philosophy
The philosophy of MegaCare is simple:
- We believe that the urgent needs of suffering people around the world are common, in that, they can be met through education, health care assistance, humanitarian service and economic empowerment.
- We believe that by working with indigenous people, we are able to identify their specific needs, while being sensitive and respectful to their cultural values.
- We believe our mission is to empower communities worldwide and encourage the next generation to rise to a higher quality of life.
- We believe that by partnering with local organizations, we provide an ongoing relationship that secures the focus and longevity of the project.
Core Initiatives
1. Education
MegaCare provides a range of educational assistance through conferences, materials, textbooks and computer technology. Examples include:
- Third Annual Pastors’ Conference (Mexico)
- Fourth Annual Women’s Conference (Mexico)
- Second Annual Vacation Bible School (Mexico)
- School Supplies and uniforms (Africa/Mexico)
2. Humanitarian
MegaCare provides humanitarian assistance to communities that are adversely affected by natural disasters and are in extreme need of resources for survival. Our humanitarian efforts include providing clean drinking water, the distribution of food, clothing, personal care items and toys for children.
- Food, shoes and clothing distribution
- Clean water (wells and water station projects)
- Construction of medical clinics and hospital wings
- Construction of “Children Centers,” for children orphaned by AIDS
3. Health Care
MegaCare concentrates on helping people most in need, particularly women and children, by providing a strong focus on primary health care and disease prevention. Outreach efforts have included:
- Shipping 40-foot containers of medical equipment and supplies
- Medical camps provided in deprived areas
- Supporting efforts in HIV/AIDS awareness, testing and treatment
4. Economic Empowerment
MegaCare’s focus is to improve living conditions of depressed and deprived families through supporting self-employment and micro-enterprise development as a means to reduce poverty.

Measurable Results
Belize, Central America, 1997
- Completed hospital wing in Belmopan, Belize.
- Donated $400,000 of medicines and medical supplies.
Guyana, South America, 2000 – 2003
- Two containers of food, clothing, medical supplies and bicycles were shipped and distributed by ministry teams.
Bulgaria, Europe, 2004
- A ministry team distributed 112 new mattresses for local hospital wing in Sliven, Bulgaria.
- Food and toys distributed to Bulgarians, Turks and Gypsies.
Kenya, Africa, 2004 – 2006
- Delivered seven tons of food to the West Pokot District of Kenya.
- Hosted an empowerment breakfast meeting for more than 500 religious leaders.
- Hosted seven medical camps. Hired 200 doctors and nurses along with 10 U.S. medical professionals. More than 9,000 patients were treated.
- Medicines worth approximately $200,000 sent to assist medical teams in providing medical relief.
- The second floor of the Bishop T. D. Jakes wing of Melchizedek Hospital was completed and furnished. Medical supplies valued at $500,000 were sent to the hospital.
- Fifteen computers were donated and installed in a newly remodeled room by The Potter’s House at Kawangware Primary School. Kenya has 17,000 schools and Kawangware Primary School was the first slum school to have a computer lab.
- More than 13 water wells and stations were built throughout Kenya.
- A 10-mile pipeline was completed in Mai Maihiu in April 2006 and given to the people. It now supplies water to the Kukiyu and Maasai tribes. These tribes have fought in the past over water and many lives were lost. We provided water so these people and their families can live in peace. The water pipeline supplies clean healthy water to about 20,000 people, 1 million goats and sheep, 400,000 cattle, other wild life and crops.
- Provided 2,000 pairs of shoes and 2,200 pairs of socks to families in underprivileged villages.
- Provided computers, backpacks and shoes to local orphanages.
- Provided computers to small businesses.
- Constructed a clinic to provide care for local villagers.
India
- Donations were given to assist tsunami victims including a $100,000 contribution to the city of Dallas’ tsunami relief efforts.
Mexico 2002 – 2007
- Ongoing food distribution in Mexico through children’s homes and local churches. Toys are donated to needy children at Christmas.
- Hosted Third Annual Pastors’ and Leaders’ Conference in Reynosa, Mexico, with a combined attendance of more than 700.
- Hosted Fourth Annual Women’s Conference in Reynosa, Mexico, with a combined attendance of more than 1000.
- Hosted Vacation Bible School for more than 300 children.
- Supplied school supplies and uniforms to local orphanages.
- Conducted three medical camps in Tampico, Mexico. More than 400 people were treated.
