Requirements for Children Ministry Workers Print E-mail

Children’s Ministry workers must complete the Volunteer Department and Security Department process which consist of the following:

Ministry Requirements

  • Must be an active member of The Potter’s House
  • Complete a “Save To Serve “application
  • Volunteer are required to submit to a criminal investigation background check.

Spiritual Requirements

  • Be faithful & live a separate Christian life.
  • Be loyal to the Senior Pastor, leaders of The Potter’s House and the children the ministry serves.
  • Attend at least one adult service per week.

Training Requirements

  • Volunteers must attend a Children’s Ministry orientation
  • Complete the Children’s Ministry training module courses. (The Potter’s Institute)
  • Complete three- observation sessions
  • Certifications
    • CPR & First Aide
    • CPS (Child Protection Service)
