POTTER’S HOUSE TEENS ADOPT SHELTER FAMILIES FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The Bold Males and Females program, led by Dexter Jakes and RaShaun Waters, celebrates the true meaning of Christmas through outreach to local homeless prevention program< /span>
WHO: Led by Dexter Jakes, son of Bishop T.D. Jakes, and RaShaun Waters, the Bold Males and Females (BMF) teen-led program will embrace the true meaning of Christmas by giving to those in need. Bold Males and Females (BMF) is a teen-led program of The Potter’s House of Dallas, comprised of more than 400 youth, ages 14 to 23.
WHAT: Working with the Interfaith Housing Coalition, Bold Males and Females has adopted five single-parent families for the Christmas holidays.
WHEN: BMF will shop for the families on Wednesday, December 15th and will distribute gifts to the single mothers and children on Thursday, December 16, 2010.
WHERE:Interfaith Housing Coalition, 5600 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75206
WHY: Working with the Interfaith Housing Coalition, BMF will grant holiday wishes for single parent families. These brave women and children, many former victims of domestic abuse and financial distress, will spend the holidays in a shelter. While many teens are only focused on receiving gifts, the teens of Bold Males and Females have decided to embrace the true meaning of Christmas by giving to those in need.

About the Bold Males and Females Teen Program
Bold Males and Females (BMF) is a teen-led program of The Potter’s House of Dallas, comprised of more than 400 youth, ages 14-23. Co-founded by Dexter Jakes, teen son of Bishop T.D. Jakes, and RaShaun Waters, Bold Males and Females was formed by youth for youth. The goal of Bold Males and Females is to influence change in the lives of today’s youth; evolving a generation one life at a time.
