Secret Prayer
By Bishop T. D. Jakes
Judges 6: 3-8; 12-14
Prayer no longer seems to be as attractive as it used to be. We used to have prayer meetings where nobody sang or spoke; the whole objective was prayer. It used to be that when people woke in the morning, they were afraid to embark on a day without prayer. In the evening, they prayed; over meals, they prayed; in quiet times, they prayed. They were in constant communion with God. They consecrated themselves, laying before God, seeking God's face, opening their heart to Him. But, today we want to shirk our responsibilities of personal prayer and consecration. We want to reap the benefits of other people's consecration and prayer time.
Let It Flow
By Ann Fields
The Potter's House, Bishop T. D. Jakes, and ministry partners and friends brought the Word of Isaiah to life in January 2005 with the dedication and turning over of a water well in Kenya, Africa. When Bishop Jakes commissioned the water well, no one, including Associate Pastor Ronnie Guynes, Director of International Affairs for The Potter's House, understood the full impact water would make. But, the advent of such has changed an entire culture.
