Getting A Harvest on Your Praise
By Bishop T. D. Jakes
Luke 13: 12-19
There's something powerful about praise, yet praise cannot be taught as if it's magic. Praise is something that must be built up through a faithful, consistent pattern. You must build some equity in your praise so that it increases in value and generates a breakthrough. What do I mean? Let me explain through the example of the woman bowed over for 18 years.
For Men Only Retreat: Strength for Men
By C. L. Thomas
A sea of over three thousand men billowed into the arena of the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas, Texas, as Bishop Jakes hosted the first ever For Men Only retreat. The men came from everywhere-from as far away as Europe, South Africa, Scotland, and Luxembourg to local homegrown Texan cowboys. The retreat-a welcome sight for those men who sorely missed the Ministry's ManPower conference-could not have come at a better time. With staggering statistics of absentee fathers, lack of positive male role models for our young men, and the Christian divorce rate eclipsing that of the world-it was just in time. "I believe God bringing you here is a sacred trust," Bishop exclaimed. "The fact that He would loan you to me for three days is a sacred trust."
Seven Tenets of a Financial Covenant
By Bishop T. D. Jakes
Some of you have experienced resurrection in your life. You have your peace, your joy, your salvation, and your praise. The last step to be resurrected is your finances. The same God that resurrected your life and your mind will resurrect your money. I believe God for resurrection so you can send your children to college, so you can loan and not borrow, so you can be the head and not the tail, so we can make the kingdom of this world into the kingdom of God.
Turn it on a Dime
By Bishop T. D. Jakes
In Genesis 14: 12-24, we read that Abram the Hebrew took about 300 of his servants and fought and won a battle. On his way home, he encountered Melchizedek, a king and a priest of the most high God, who blessed Abram. And Abram gave him tithes of all. The king of Sodom offered Abram blessings, which Abram refused, lest the king of Sodom claim he was the one who made Abram rich.
10 Frequently Asked Tithing Questions
By Bishop T. D. Jakes
Following is a list of the ten most frequently asked questions on tithing. Bishop Jakes responds to the questions to ensure an unlimited year of reaping.
1. Should I tithe on the gross or on the net? The Bible says, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse." Not what's left, not part, but all. In Malachi 1:6 - 10, God complains about the government receiving the best while he is offered the crippled, bruised lambs that are not worth very much. God asks the Israelites and us today, "If I am your father where is my honor? Is it the government that blesses you or God?" God instructs us to put Him at the top and bring Him all the tithes.
